06 - Edge and Contour Modelling

To create this I used the edge modeling method to create a copy of the side of a car. The edge modeling method uses extrusions of a line, or edge, and rotating them to fit any curves the shape I'm modeling has.

After creating the side of the car I gave the object more width so that I could add headlights and windows by extruding inwards. To get the curved look I used smooth shading and the subdivision surface modifier.

So that both sides of the car were symmetrical I used the mirror modifier. This meant I only had to create one side of the object and the other was automatically made.
